Yevgeniya Mikhailik is an artist, educator, and curator based in Orange County, CA. In her studio practice she explores the enduring physical and emotional connection between people and the natural world, our methods of interpreting it and identifying with it, and how both the natural and the built environment shape us.
Mikhailik has exhibited extensively throughout Southern California, as well as New York, San Francisco, and Rome. Her work has been highlighted by KCET Artbound, LA Times, Art and Cake, Hi-Fructose, OC Weekly, Orange Coast Magazine, OC Register, CMYK Magazine, and has appeared in several other publications and exhibition catalogues. In 2016 she received the Emerging Artist Award from Arts Orange County, and in 2017 was awarded Best Curator by the OC Weekly for her work as the curator at the Irvine Fine Arts Center. She currently teaches Illustration at CSULB.
