Javier Valle Perez is a Nicaraguan painter who uses curiosity and exploration to motivate his compositions which are riots of color, industry, and movement. His aim is to convey human activity with awe and emotion through a balance of color and mark-making that is layered, frenzied, and deeply pleasing to explore over and over. There is always something new to see and to feel, like a city, which every canvas Perez creates becomes, a home for one’s imagination.
Since graduating from the School of Fine ArtsĀ Nicaragua in 1998 with a degree in Sculpture and Painting, Perez has participated in art fairs, the Nicaraguan Biennial, as well as solo exhibitions in galleries and institutions in Latin America and the US. His paintings have been curated into the collection of the Rozas Botran Fundacion Museum in Guatemala, BDF Bank of Nicaragua, CREDOMATIC of Nicaragua, Ortiz Gurdian Museum Foundation Nicaragua, the Collection of the Museo Del Barrio in New York, ESPACIO 23 in Miami as well as prestigious private collections.
