Saltfineart announces the first opportunity on the West Coast to view the overlapping visions of José Rodriguez and Mónica Torrebiarte. From the grand theme of fate to the more mundane moment of swatting a fly, Rodriguez and Torrebiarte fluently mix the hyperreal with the surreal— and all that flourishes in between.

Rodriguez enjoys a strong and growing following by both critics and collectors alike. With over 100 collective and 11 solo exhibitions— in addition to showings at two international biennials— the quality of Rodriguez’s talent is well established. Torrebiarte has enjoyed seven solo exhibitions throughout Latin America, and participated in two etching biennials. Her technique, honed over 20 years of unwavering dedication to a single art form, pushes engraving forward.
