Cristian Castro is a self-taught industrial designer and contemporary sculptor who creates whimsical and often times confrontational machines from the discarded parts of airplanes, cars, toasters and anything else mechanical he can get his hands on. Fascinated from a young age by the function of all things, Castro had an insatiable drive to discover, dissect, and dismantle any manner of toy or machine, ultimately fusing them together as artistic creations.
