One of the most exciting aspects of creating contrast between art and architecture is the unexpected moments of beauty, whimsy, and calm. To turn a corner and be delighted again and again is the reason to have a curated home. This project was a challenge at first, finding works that could pair with the majestic dark wood ceiling, stone arches, and dramatic fixtures. Knowing that the collectors were moved not just by beauty but also by humor and serenity, the collection started to come together – with the collaboration of Cory Bennett Design. Each room developed a unique feeling and we were able to build a worldly contemporary collection with pieces from Cuba, Switzerland, Costa Rica mixed with local artists inspired by the surrounding foothills and wetlands.
