TAKING FLIGHT, Esterio Segura’s 3rd solo-exhibition with saltfineart, approaches the philosophical and metaphorical ideas behind flight from the mindset of an individual who has overcome much in his journey to where he currently stands, as one of the most well-regarded artistic voices in the world.

The idea of “flight” in Esterio’s work, speaks to the ability of ideas to move nations and people – how the featherweight of an idea becomes a kind of magic that can move a hippopotamus or a lumbering ideology. These works are talismans to this magic, plans to use imagination and knowledge to move forward, to take flight.
