saltfineart in collaboration with Coastline College Art Gallery is proud to present PLAYGROUND, August 28 – October 17, 2024, an exhibition curated around the theme of play as a radical act. Play as a radical act traces a thread through Latin Contemporary art and beyond, with works in which the initial read is one of whimsy with the skillful use of vibrant colors, pop-cultural icons, and visual metaphors that hold profound narratives of freedom, identity, social and political climates, and emotion.
The artists in PLAYGROUND represent 15 years of presenting works that bring together cutting-edge concepts with skillful execution. With 10 different countries represented from El Salvador to Cuba, Peru to the United Kingdom, PLAYGROUND highlights a worldwide community of artists.
